FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

I. Who is NOT eligible to avail a Certificate of Good Standing (CGS) from the Philippine College of Physicians?

   If any of the following is met, you are NOT eligible to avail a Certificate of Good Standing from the Philippine College of Physicians:

  1. If the PCP member (with active status) has failed to attend the Annual/Midyear PCP Convention for 2 consecutive years.  This does not apply to the Affiliate Society Members (i.e. PCP Members from  Diabetes Philippines, Philippine Dermatological Society, Philippine Neurology Association, and Philippine Society of Nuclear Medicine); and/or
 
       B. If  the PCP member has outstanding arrears in the national and/or local chapter  (this can be verified/checked with the National Secretariat); and/or
 
       C. If  the PCP Member HAS NOT earned at least 45 accumulated PCP CPD Units (meaning the CPD units were earned specifically from a PCP activity, and not from just any CPD earning medical
            convention/symposia) within the last 3 years.
   
            If PCP Affiliate Society Members HAS NOT earned at least 15 accumulated PCP CPD Units (meaning the CPD units were earned specifically from a PCP activity, and not from just any CPD
            earning medical convention/symposia) within the last 3 years. 
          
        D.  If the PRC license of the PCP Member is expired.  The PRC Physician's license must be at least 1 month valid at the time of application for CGS.   It is assumed that the reason a PCP Member       

              is seeking CGS is because he is actively practicing and hence, it is only expected that the member has a valid PRC license.


II.   Where can a PCP member or a PCP Affiliate Society Member get a Certificate of Good Standing, CGS?

         A PCP member or a PCP Affiliate Society Member can get his or her CGS from the PCP Local Chapter where he/she is a member of during office hours.  


         Effective May 10, 2023, all members with inactive status shall be under the PCP National Office.


III.  How to get a Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Certificate of Diplomate or Certificate of Fellowship?

        A.   PICK-UP OPTION:   Visit the PCP Office and claim the certificate personally (or via an authorized representative)  
               Requirements:
               1-  PCP Member's  PRC ID/ PCP ID (not photocopy)
               2-  Original copy of the Diplomate certificate and photocopies of the Diplomate certificate
               3-  Authorization letter (if via an authorized representative)
       B.   COURIER OPTION:  This will be via a Courier Delivery Service

               1- If around Metro Manila, the recipient must book a courier delivery service of their choice to pick-up the certificate. Delivery fee is c/o the recipient. 
               2- If outside Metro Manila, the certificate may be sent via LBC Express. The shipping fee will be shouldered by the recipient and must be paid for by the requestor prior to sending the documents.  
                The estimated  amount is Php200.00 and it may be paid through Gcash/Bank Transfer to 0945-9907523 (Karen del Rosario).  After payment, kindly send us the copy of the receipt, name of
                recipient, mailing address, contact number, and your Gcash number.
                   *If the actual cost of the shipping fee is greater than Php200.00, we will notify you to provide the additional payment.
                   *If the actual cost of the shipping fee is less than PhpPhp200.00, we will refund the change back to your Gcash account.
                 ** Old passers must first settle any outstanding annual dues upon request of the authenticated copy of the Diplomate/Fellow certificate.
