PLEASE HELP US SUPPORT THE SIN TAX BILL |
To all my friends and fellow health advocates,
According to Department of Finance Sec. Purisima, most of the news on the health issues and
justifications on the Sin Tax Bill now pending at the Senate are having a hard time getting off the
press. The honorable Secretary is seeking your help in the dissemination of these good news. Let
us support the common position of Sec. Ona of the Department of Health and Sec. Purisima and
the New Vois Association of the Phils. (NVAP). Let us support Senator Miriam Santiago's
SB3249.
We really need all the help we could get on this.

"There is a total news blackout of the health issue in the sin tax debate. There was zero cover of
yesterday's dramatic testimonies on the ill effects of smoking and the role of taxation in reducing
consumption. Lobby vs sin tax is very obvious. We will push hard for DOF version despite
vigorousopposition from vested interests. We need your help".
