PCP - AHMOPI Memorandum of Agreement

July 19, 2009

Dear Colleague,

The PCP has reached an agreement with the AHMOPI that counterbalances the long-standing inequity that has placed our members in a disadvantaged position., e.g., low professional fee rates, delayed payment, ‘uncovered’ cases that leave physicians uncompensated. Recognizing managed care as a reality of the future, the PCP-AHMOPI MOA serves to establish and maintain a line of communication and negotiation between the 2 parties, provide a venue for resolution of grievances, and ensure, in the ultimate analysis, that the welfare of our patients are never jeopardized.

Attached is a copy of the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the PCP and the AHMOPI. The agreement will take effect on August 4, 2009. We encourage all PCP members, including affiliate members to sign up for this agreement. A united front puts us in a far better position of leverage to get our demands through. Please note that this MOA does not apply to residents in training.

To be part of the new set-up, please fill up the form below and email back to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it as soon as possible. Kindly copy furnish your PCP chapter president.

We deeply appreciate your kind and prompt response and once again, thank you for giving this matter your preferential attention.

With continued best wishes, I remain.

Very truly yours,

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
