The HERO committee presented to the League of Corporation Foundations (LCF) Annual Convention at the SMX CONVENTION CENTER last July 15. The LCF is composed 80 private corporations with different corporate social responsibility projects aimed at adding value to the community in partnership with LGU and civic oriented groups. The Health Committee of the LCF has adopted HERO as its major program that it will support - for LGU dissemination, for DEPED and DOH partnership programs.
The HERO is now on its pilot phase in 5 big areas in Caloocan, Manila, Antipolo, Batangas, and Cavite. Once the pilot is successful, the HERO will be inserted into the DEPED curriculum in June 2011. With Dr Tony Leachon , PCP regent in the LCF meeting were Dr Bunds Balgos, PCP chair of HERO advocacy, Ms Amor Curaming, MMLDC associate director, and Maurice Ligot , SPLASH Corporate Affairs Director, LCF chair of Health Committee.
The HERO is slated to be to be presented to DEPED Secretary Bro Armin Luistro (in the picture) and to DOH Secretary Enrique Ona in August.

EXPANDED UNIVERSAL MEDICAL AND DENTAL CHECK-UP
