I have been careful

Putting on my PPE

Not my first time

But still with anxiety

Saw patients inside

Came out feeling fine

But after ten days

Fever envelops me

Food has no taste

I need to isolate

Infected with COVID

Good thing I’m vaccinated

Better yet I’m an introvert

Alone time I’m the expert
